Chapter 15: Jealousy and Understanding

Huanhuan was cute and adorable No one would call her ugly or disgusting. This was the first time someone had said that Huanhuan cried, clinging to Ashley

Ashley hugged her, “You’re not disgusting, you’re pretty and cute. Don’t you think so?” calmed down. Sam saw Ashley hugging and praising Huanhuan. His eyes reddened.“I don’t like you anymore! I don’t want you as my mom!” He tried to run away.

She understood–he was jealous. He didn’t want her as his mom, but he didn’t want anyone else either. She found it amusing. She didn’t promise but soothed him, moving them away from the crowd

Ashley hugged Sam, “Son, you’re cool, but everyone’s tastes are different. You like cool things, but others like cute things. You can’t call people ugly just because they’re different. We should respect others.”

Sam pushed Huanhuan out of Ashley’s arms. Huanhuan

Sam understood. He knew he was wrong but didn’t want Ashley to hug other children. Ashley ruffled his hair, wiping his tears. “It’s okay to make mistakes. But don’t say that again.” Sam calmed down, hugging her.“Okay.”

Ashley kissed his face and turned to Huanhuan, “Huanhuan, this is Sam. He’s sorry. Will you forgive him?

Ashley was relieved. She took them to the classroom. The teacher took Huanhuan. Ashley knelt beside Sam,“It’s okay now. Let’s go to class.”

Sam wasn’t shy. He wasn’t afraid of what others thought. He suddenly didn’t want Ashley to leave. He hugged her, “Mom…”

Chen Li was beautiful, dressed in designer clothes. She looked at Ashley, then extended her hand, “Nice to meet you, Lin Jie. Please teach me.”

Ashley shook her hand, “You’re welcome.”

“I graduated from P University this June. Which university did you graduate from?” She graduated this year? She had little work experience. But perhaps she had skills. Ashley interrupted, “Ms. Chen, we have a meeting. Let’s talk work.”
