Ch. His Infidelity 15 His Infidelity 15

Hearing Haven’s words, I lowered my gaze, falling into deep thought.
Even in this moment of urgency, I still couldn’t bring myself to swallow my pride for Willow.
Over the years, Willow’s unwavering love had spoiled me thoroughly.
So thoroughly, in fact, that I could no longer see my own position clearly.
Just the thought of Willow manipulating me like this in the future-threatening me, walking out on me whenever she pleased-made my brows furrow tightly.
Frustration and impatience churned inside me, yet I felt trapped, unable to advance or retreat.
Haven noticed my silence and immediately began using her usual tricks again.
Unfortunately for her, even if I hadn’t yet made a firm decision, I no longer had the slightest desire to touch her.
I shoved her away, my tone perfunctory as I said, “You’re already five months pregnant. You should be more careful. Let’s talk after you give birth.”
Haven’s POV
My expression darkened, boiling over with resentment.
I opened my mouth to protest, but Reed clearly no longer had the patience to listen.
Just then, a call came in from the company secretary. Reed took the call without hesitation and strode straight out the door.
The second the door shut behind him, rage surged through me.
I let out a scream and swept everything off the table, watching with satisfaction as it all crashed to the floor.
wished Willow were standing in front of me right now-just so I could rip her to shreds!
‘Willow! You’ve already left, and he’s still thinking about you! You should be dead! You should be fucking dead!”
Reed’s POV
sat alone in my office, admittedly barely keeping it together.
At first, I hadn’t taken Willow’s withdrawal of Ericsson Ventures’s investment seriously. I assumed she would come back after a few days just like she always had.
But this time was different.
RH Limited wasn’t the same as it had been in the beginning. Sure, our assets were still solid, and losing the project wouldn’t destroy us. At worst, we’d take a hit.
Or to be more blunt about it-even if RH Limited shrank in scale, it wouldn’t be enough to drive us into bankruptcy.
If handled properly, the damage wouldn’t have been too serious.
But no one at the company had expected me to ignore the crisis for this long.
Ericsson Ventures’s withdrawal had already put us under significant pressure. We’d poured so
much into this major project, and now that it was slipping through our fingers, the damage was starting to look irreversible.
And the worst part? I’d been too wrapped up in my own romantic mess to notice. I let the critical window for damage control pass me by.
Investors and competitors had been watching the whole time. The moment they realized I wasn’t going to step up, they pounced. Several projects we were about to land were snatched right out from under us.
And Ericsson Ventures? They didn’t hesitate to fan the flames, kicking us while we were already down.
By the time I finally rushed to the company earlier, everything had already spiraled into a full-blown disaster.
I was on the verge of losing everything!
And only then-only then-did I finally realize Willow was dead serious this time.
My phone rang suddenly, jolting me out of my thoughts.
My heart pounded as I scrambled to answer it, hoping desperately that it was her.
But Haven’s voice came through the line instead.
“Reed, I admit I was out of line earlier. Are you still at the office? I’ll come over and apologize, okay?” she said in that sweet tone of hers. “Please forgive me. I’m even willing to apologize to Willow. I’ll do anything as long as she comes back.”
She actually thought that would work just like it had before.
But this time, I wasn’t having any of it.
I didn’t say a word. Just hung up on her.
She kept calling. Again and again. My phone lit up, then dimmed, then lit up again.
But it was never her. Never Willow.
The panic kept building in my chest until I couldn’t take it anymore. I shot to my feet and barked at Kade.
“Find out where Willow went-now! Use everything RH Limited has to track her down. And if that’s not enough, call the cops! I’m still her husband. They have to tell me where she is!”
